ROOTED
Rooted is an interdisciplinary performance celebrating the power of community to uplift women so they can flourish. Through the metaphor of different types of trees, each song and act connects to an underlying theme of resilience and deep connectivity with original music created by Philadelphia songwriter, Sarah Gulish.
Makers Market and Performances.
Creative Collaborators:
Artisans: printmakers, ceramicists, and fiber artists will be creating and selling in-theme work from 7-7:30pm, at intermission, and after.
Show Visuals: Haley Harmon, Elliott Woolworth, and Philamedia will work to create original art and lighting for the show.
Music: Live music will be present for all acts, including Sarah Gulish (vocals, keys, guitar), Kenan Salazar(guitar), Chelsea Stanell and Melissa Schepers (vocals), Claire Coco (cello), and Maura DiBerardinis (violin)
Aerial/Dance: Each act will be accompanied by live music and/or spoken word:
Ashley Rakay (dance and silk), Chi-wen Lee (lyra), Cheryl DiSalvo & Trish Reynolds (duo rope), Niff Nicholls (dance trapeze), Megan Stephens (rope loop), Alice Tran (sling), Maya Muenzer (lyra), and Molly Barg (silks).

Free to Secret Circus Hula Hooping workshop with Autumn Movement Arts!
Free to Secret Circus students- $10 to new to us or not current students! Learn the art of hula hooping! This is a foundational workshop where we will learn how to spin the hoop on-body, object manipulation techniques, how to dance with the hoop, and find transitions to create fluid movement. By the end of the workshop you will be able to hoop on body and move confidently through a short choreographed sequence. Sign up in Mindbody here!
